Makkiya Jawed is a philanthropist, humanity lover, implementer, researcher and a student with a dynamic yet humble personality. A dreamer to be the voice for someone and do something which affects the life of many. She has majored in Psychology and Health Policy Management from Aga KhanUniversity. Makkiya Jawed comes in as the director of social enterprise for “Sehat Kahani” in Pakistan. She has worked with Development sector professional for internationally renowned organizations. Her skills in health promotion and education training, community intervention strategies, primary and secondary research are more appreciated. She has been recognized by Zimba Women, UNICEF, Pakistan Innovation Forum and Global Entrepreneurship Summit. Moreover, she has also been associated with leadership positions at DEMO Enterprises and TEDx Islamabad. She was awarded the World Bank Global Youth Summit Jury Award and MIT Business Acceleration Competition. Mainly, she is working towards bridging gaps between women and technology in rural areas along with the stance of Sehat Kahani, a telemedicine platform, to create an enabling environment for female doctors and patients.
